A mid 20th Century brass bell, metal taken from HMS Tiger 1916. The bell with inscription 'Metal from HMS Tiger Jutland 1916' mounted on an oak crossbeam with turned supports on a plinth base, 33cm high, 40cm wide, 19cm deep.
HMS Tiger was a Battlecruiser commissioned in 1914 and saw notable actions including Dogger Bank, 1915 and Jutland in 1916 where she sustained much damage, she was repaired and refitted to see out the rest of the war, being scrapped in 1932.
